Ultrasound of right breast/lump

Before work, I went for ultrasound of right breast to check on the lump that I found myelf. Believe me, I was not one to self examine my breasts each month. It was found by accident.

A day or two later, Dr. Wright's office called to tell me the results of this test. The radiologist stated that it was an enlarged gland, not to worry, and to have it repeated in 3 months. A follow up appt. was made with Woman's Care along with a follow up appt. with Dr. Wright. These appts. will be January 2005.

I told Michelle Stevens, my boss at the bank, what the results showed. The radiologist also told me that cancer does not hurt. Michelle did not want to worry me but told me that Linda Evans (another person at the bank) had breast cancer and was told the same thing. That proved to be wrong, cancer can and does hurt. It was nice that Michelle told me this, even though down the road this statement did prove the radiologist to be wrong.

I feel a lump

It was only a short time since I had biopsy of the left breast (cystic tissue), that I felt a lump in my right breast. I think I found it just by wiping something off my shirt. It seemed to be size of a quarter and it was painful to touch. I immediately called Dr. Wright and she set up an ultrasound for me.

Follow up ultrasound/biopsy left breast

It's been 3 months since the last ultrasound, so I have to have it repeated. Again, not sure of which breast was involved. Am actually thinking it is the left breast, not the one with cancer.
Reports always showed cystic breasts. A needle aspiration was done at Woman's Care of the left breast. Results showed cystic tissue.

Ultrasound of breast

Due to the results of the mammogram, I had to go for ultrasound. Thinking back over the months, I am not sure which breast was actually in question. I just know that I had to have this repeated in the next few months as a follow up.

Gyn Appt. with Michelle Wright

Since moving to Pennsylvania, I had not yet found a gynecologist. After calling my primary doctor, I was told that Michelle Wright made visits to their office weekly. I needed to have a pap smear and mammogram done. These were on my "to do" list. A mammogram was set for 5/26/04.

My mammograms always came back with cystic breasts, so therefore I knew that sonograms/ultrasounds would eventually follow. Just the way my breasts are made.
