Dr. Wright had never examined the lump and wanted to feel it. She had the results of the reports and re-iterated what was in them. I immediately said STOP. I don't want to wait any more time, please take it out! She said that was an option and asked me if I knew of a surgeon.
Came up with the name Jon Henwood who had removed some fatty tissue for Barry a few months ago.
I am so glad that I was my own advocate, otherwise I would still have this cancer growing in my body and possibly spreading. If anything is learned from this experience it is this: be your own and best advocate. Don't always side with a doctor's opinion/suggestion.
She made an appt. to see Dr. Henwood on 2/8/05.
