Tim had his second indoor soccer game tonight. Just got home. They played the #1 team of the league. Our boys lost 14-1. This season the team is playing up which means they are in the U-19 age group instead of U-16. This will challenge the boys. It was good to see that throughout the whole game, the boys did not stop running. Never gave up. Tim had a shot on goal with less than a minute to go. Thought he had it. But the best part of this evening was when Tim and I were heading to the truck. A boy from the other team was getting into his car and Tim said "Good game" to him. You see, that's what it is all about. Being a good sportsman. And Tim told me that by watching that team it makes you to aspire to be like them. These kids drove off in their cars which showed the age difference.
I think I've got a pretty good kid!
And yes, Happy Birthday Maureen! On Sunday it will be Tim's and Mom's shared birthday. A busy week for birhdays.
