I'm truly home!

Yes, it's me. Just got done catching up on my blog. Read everything. The blog and it's comments. Means the world to me. So much I don't remember and this gives me a chance to read all about it.

Marie: Yes, received the needlework that you created that said CANCER SUCKS. Because we both know that first hand that it does. Thanks.

All my bloggin' friends and family, a big hug of gratitude for your love and ongoing support. What a great idea to send me cards via the hospital. Was fun getting mail.

Joe H.: Thanks for your visits this past hospital stay. And thanks to the church for the prayer shawl. I am truly blessed.

Since I am on oxygen I have new piece of furniture in my house. An oxygen tank. Attached to that is 50 ft. of clear tubing. So as I walk around the house Barry can keep track of me! I don't have to stay on it all during the day, just as needed. Definitely need it when I lie down. Last night consisted of getting up to pee every 90 mins. and then putting oxygen thingy up my nose. Very uncomfortable just laying on my back. I still have staples and stitch to be taken out next Th. at surgeon's office. Area is sore. Both fingers became like the Hulk, swollen with fluid. They had me on IV. Never disconnected it, even after being on regular food. Gained 10 lbs. while there. Once I complained, the IV was disconnected. No wonder I was going to the bathroom so much.

Used to enjoy naps and sleep, now I don't look forward to it. Hopefully the feelings will come back. Even with morphine drip, give as much as you need to yourself, never took the pain away.
Not afraid of dying, just take the pain away.

Again, thanks!

Jane....You sounded so good on the phone today. You made my day for sure. You will feel better once those stitches and staples are out. I know how those feel. LOL I hope you have a better sleep tonight and don't have to get up so often. Tell Barry you are going to put a cow bell on him so you know where he is too. LOL You can get it from Rudy. I love you and am so glad you can be home again.
All my love

Yippee!! It is so good to see YOU posting, Jane!

Sounds like reading your blog was great therapy. :-)

I am sorry you are in pain. I will pray, pray, pray that the Lord takes that from you and that you will be comfortable.

"But He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong." - 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

Love, JK

Dear Jane

I have started a post to you many times but always stopped short for one of your many friends said the same thing I felt and I didnt want to repeat.

I have been reading your blog for a few months and have smiled and yes also cried along with you. There are many people battling cancer but the choice to make your daily fight with it a public one whether its to teach, encourage, inspire - I think its wonderful and I hope your son Tim will hold onto these blogs one day.
We have to walk down these paths by ourselves but it must be nice to know that there are so many cheering you on along the way with the love and support of your family and friends!
Should I find myself facing this particular foe one day, I will remember you and what you wrote in your blogs and hope I can do what you have done with as much courage, humor and determination!

Whatever the future holds for you is not mine to say but my wish for you is to have a soft place to put your head down at night and to sleep without pain.

hoping for some pleasant days and peaceful nights ahead for you

jane,
Wow that first time blogger who wrote was just amazing. Such an inspirational message. She knows you pretty well just through your writing. I am glad you are home. It makes me feel good to know that you are just a moment away. Remember if you need anything.....call. By the way don't let Barry starting pulling on your oxygen cord. He might get used to that!!! Only you would see humor in an oxygen tank. You are in my thoughts all day long. I am truly blessed that you picked me as one of your friends. Your friendship if one of my greatest gifts. I love you Jane!!!

Welcome Home !!!! Glad you are with your men. You didn't miss anything with this weather!! I feel like its been winter FOREVER!!

Are you sleeping in a hospital bed at home so your head can be elevated or using fluffy pillows? Can't begin to imagine the pain you must be enduring. Praying for relief for you, dear Jane.
